Holy Quran is a Highly Respected
and Sacred Text of Allah SWT. The fourth and final Divine Book was revealed to
the very last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad, all over the 23 years. It separates
itself from all of the rest of the world’s books in becoming the works of the
Almighty Lord Himself, Who says in chapter number 15 and verse number 9 that He
is the One, Who is the Sole Owner of this great process of Knowledge and He
will preserve it. This is the mystery of Furqan e Hameed that even after 1400
years there's been no modification in this Blessed Amount of a single letter or
word, unlike previous holy texts that have altered over time.
This sacred book of Allah should be recited with some Manners of Reading it. However, it is very important to know all these specific manners of reading the Quran. One must learn about them in traditional Quran classes or in the Online Quran classes. Without learning these rules, it becomes irrespective of reciting the Holy Quran. Thus, one can learn all these manners of reading the Holy Quran in the following piece of writing step by step.
Some Specific Manners of Reading
Quran
However, every believer must have manners of reading the Quran. Therefore, some rules are described one by one for reading the Quran:
Necessary to have Cleanliness and Wudu
Before treating this Sacrosanct Text, all clothing, and Wudu (Ablution) must have preserved a state of total purity, which is the requirement for every religious action. It's a respectable Qur'an. It is required to have ablution; otherwise, no one should touch it.
This Quranic verse highlights this Holy Book's great dignity and calls for it to be given utmost reverence. It is pertinent to mention here that Wudu's law is somehow relaxing only when somebody doesn't hold Furqan e Hameed in their hands and read the Holy Verses from their own memory. Apart from this, one who makes himself/herself very clean, it becomes easy to learn without any hindrance to the Shaitan.
Sitting in a way that is appropriate and polite
Since this is not a common form of the book as the Quranic lines have come down from heaven, it must be given due respect by sitting in a proper and upright position. In addition, one should also sit down respectfully and reverently when holding the Holy Quran in one's hands to satisfy the high esteem demanded by an action for this Hallowed Number. The believer needs to learn the way of sitting while reading the Holy Quran. Therefore, one can understand the actual way of sitting for reading the Holy Quran.
Placing the Holy Quran on the Pillow
Significant caution should be taken in positioning the Holy Book of Allah SWT by setting it on a clean cushion or other protection and preventing putting it on the floor due to its incredibly high status. However, the Holy Quran rules and manners can be learned at Online Quran classes and traditional Quran classes.
Keeping
the Holy Book in Right Hand
To follow the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, then one should always remember that the Prophet of Allah used to keep the Holy Quran with the right hand to express proper respect for it. However, Hazrat Aisha R.A narrated in Abu Dawood that Prophet PBUH used his right hand to add perfume, feed, use his left hand for the toilet, or extract any damage.
It implies that Rasulullah has always used His right hand when doing some good function and used His left hand to perform other actions. And one must use that one's right hand when treating and translating Furqan e Hameed's sacred texts.
Before Recitation to Read Tauz and Tasmia
Before the recital process starts, one must read "Tauz" as follows:
"Audhu Billahi mina-Shaitan-nir-Rajeem."
It means that I seek refuge with
Allah Almighty from the Shaitan, the Accursed. Since reciting the Holy Quran
needs a significant amount of focus and concentration; hence, every Muslim
should utter the prayer mentioned above to the Almighty and save us from
Shaytan.
Besides Tauz, "Tasmia," which is provided below, should also be read:
Bismillah ir-Rahman ir-Rahim.
