This article highlights the reasons you should read the Qur'an every day even if you don't understand it. It, therefore, aims to lift the fear out of the hearts of my Muslim brethren, who have stopped reading the Qur’an or are about to, simply because they don’t understand what they read in the Qur’an.

They memorized it, to ensure its preservation. They discussed its meaning and explanation. Most of all, they focused on implementing its teaching in their daily lives. Allah tells us in Surah Noah to ponder over the Quran.

Today, we see Muslims all over the world reciting the Quran. Every Muslim who acts upon Allah’s commands by offering prayers has to recite a part of the Quran. Many also recite the Quran, seeking Allah’s pleasure. They know the importance of the Quran, and they are also well aware of the Benefits of reciting it. We must know and tell others about these virtues so that they can also benefit from reciting the Quran.

The Holy month of Ramadan is the 9^th month in the Muslim Hijri calendar. Muslims look eagerly forward to this blessed month to have their sins forgiven and to earn manifold rewards. It is a sacred month during which every adult and pubescent Muslim is required to fast from dawn to dusk.

1. The word "Ramadan" is derived from the Arabic root ramida or ar-ramad, which means scorching heat or dryness. This is because Ramadan typically takes place during the summer months.
