July 13, 2020 0

Most important miracle

This article highlights the reasons you should read the Qur'an every day even if you don't understand it. It, therefore, aims to lift the fear out of the hearts of my Muslim brethren, who have stopped reading the Qur’an or are about to, simply because they don’t understand what they read in the Qur’an.

They memorized it, to ensure its preservation. They discussed its meaning and explanation. Most of all, they focused on implementing its teaching in their daily lives. Allah tells us in Surah Noah to ponder over the Quran.

Today, we see Muslims all over the world reciting the Quran. Every Muslim who acts upon Allah’s commands by offering prayers has to recite a part of the Quran. Many also recite the Quran, seeking Allah’s pleasure. They know the importance of the Quran, and they are also well aware of the Benefits of reciting it. We must know and tell others about these virtues so that they can also benefit from reciting the Quran.

it was necessary to indicate that reading alone doesn’t enable you to achieve the best out of the Qur’an. Likewise, understanding alone doesn’t make you pure and more practicing Muslims. You need to understand it, in order to internalize it and put it into practice. This need for understanding it, however, does never nullify the need for reading it, nor does it undermine it.

Based on the available researches, Quran recitation can be used as a useful non-pharmacological treatment to reduce anxiety. However, methodologically strong randomized controlled trials are needed in this area.

Conclusion

Learning to master the Qur’an requires different levels of relationship with the Qur’an.

This involves memorization, understanding, implementation of Quran reading, and learning importance. Each of them is important, and achieving them all gives you a firm mastery of the Qur’an. None of them undermines the other. But in order to attain the last three qualities: memorization, understanding, and implementation, you have to have a good deal of reading for the Qur’an.

We all want our hearts purified. We want protection from all sorts of evil, jealousy, hypocrisy, transgression, and immorality. We want inner-peace and solace. We all want rewards from Allah for doing little. We want to understand the Qur’an. The key to attaining all that lies in reading the Qur’an.

It’s important that, as much as we have to read the Qur’an, we have to regularly check our intentions before reading it. Our intentions for doing it should always be to earn His pleasure and to get closer to Him.

Important Tips to Help Kids with Memorizing the Holy Quran

February 10, 2020 1

Helping kids Memorization the Holy Quran

The Holy Quran is the Word of Allah and the most essential book for any Muslim. It is the central part of any Muslim’s life. Especially one who wishes to live life according to Allah’s commands. Allah says in the first verse of Surah Baqarah that He sent down the Quran as guidance for all those who are conscious of him. Thus, memorizing the Holy Book is a very virtuous act for a Muslim. There are millions of Muslims around the world who have the sacred text memorized, letter by letter. Memorizers are also called the Huffaz (Hafiz/singular). This memorization (Hifz) is one of Allah’s ways of preserving the Holy Book in its original form until the Last Day. Since the advent of Islam, Quran memorization has been practiced by Muslims of all ages.

Generally speaking, the best age for a person to learn the Holy Book is during their childhood years, ideally from when they are five years old, onwards. As people mature and enter the 20s, it becomes harder to memorize as adults naturally incline more towards the understanding and better comprehension of topics. Thus, the memorization of the Quran for kids is an excellent option. Parents who want their kids to memorize the Holy Book should instill a love for Allah’s word in their children.

Tips to Help Kids with Memorizing the Holy Quran

Tips to help kids to Memorize Quran online

The first and foremost thing that parents need for their children in this quest is a good Quran teacher. However, there are many things that parents can do to aid their children’s development in this pursuit. The most important thing is for parents to be reading the Holy Book regularly themselves. Small children often pick up habits by seeing what their parents are doing.

Another thing that parents should do is to teach their children about the basic concepts of Islam. They can also tell them about other children who have memorized the Quran and mention the benefits of memorization. Children must also be kept away from haram activities such as music, etc.

Learning Quran for kids online with a teacher is a perfect option nowadays. It provides convenience for both the giver and the receiver of the knowledge. Learning Quran with Tajweed is a must to ensure that a child knows the correct pronunciation of the Arabic letters.

Parents should determine what is the right pace for the child to learn the Holy Book. Some children can memorize at a faster pace while some need to adopt a slower approach. Even if the child is studying online, parents will do well to be involved in the process. That will further encourage the child. Another technique that often works well is to provide incentives for the child. Gifts upon reaching milestones and general appreciation of efforts can be great incentives for a child.

Benefits of memorizing the Quran

A Hasan Hadith in Jami at-Tirmidhi outlines how Allah will grant a crown and suit of nobility on the Day of Judgement to a person who memorized the Quran. In another Hadith in Sahih Muslim, the Prophet (PBUH) stated that Allah would elevate some people with His book. This refers to Hafiz’s status in this life and the Hereafter. Another Hadith in Sahih Bukhari quotes the Prophet (PBUH) as saying that the best Muslims are those who learn and teach the Quran. By memorizing the Holy Book, a Muslim is also better qualified to lead the prayer, which is a very virtuous act.

What is the final goal?

When making kids memorize the Quran, it is crucial to keep the final goal in mind. This aim is for the child to become a righteous Muslim who lives according to Allah’s commands. The Holy Book for kids is not easy to understand. Therefore, memorization should also be accompanied by a comprehension of the sacred text whenever a child is ready to understand it. This will enable the child to act upon what he/she reads in the Quran. That is the first step for a Muslim towards becoming a true believer (Mumin).

Aisha (r.a.) narrated in an authentic Hadith that the Prophet’s (PBUH) character was the Quran. Living the Quran is also the best way for a person to retain his memorization of it. Often, people make their kids memorize the Quran, but they don’t implement its teachings, and eventually, the person grows up and forgets it. This is far from ideal, and we must adopt the opposite approach, where not only do we learn and memorize the Quran, but also implement it in our lives.
