Benefits of Some Surahs Reciting of the Quran

September 01, 2020 2

Benefits of Some Surahs Reciting of the Quran

Recitation of the Holy Quran is a form of mystical music that contributes to the release of endorphins by stimulating alpha brain waves. [13] Therefore, it enhances the stress threshold, removes negative emotions, and creates a sense of relaxation.

The commentaries are, in fact, the most important part of this Quran because they explain how the religious traditions of Islam are seen by their adherents and scholars.

Learning the Quran requires dedication and determination. Quran is usually memorized by reading loudly but not very loudly. Just pick the first few names and recite them loudly, to the extent where you can hear yourself speak. After reciting the names a few times, try to recite them on your own without looking.

Reading and Reflecting Over the Quran, one fulfills an obligation and is rewarded for it. Upon fulfilling this obligation, the Quran then becomes a witness for one on the Day of Judgment. The Holy Prophet says, “the Quran is a proof for you or against you.”

The rest of the Surah is a beautiful blend of history, life lessons, and instructions.

Surah Al-Fatiha

First chapter (surah) of the Quran

This is the beginning of the Holy Quran. Muslims recite this Surah for numerous times. It is comprised of only seven verses. However, the importance of this Surah Fatiha is just because it has several names, and each name has its own meaning and importance.

Surah al-Fatihah (Arabic: سُورَةُ الْفَاتِحَة‎) is the first chapter (surah) of the Quran. Its seven verses (ayat) are a prayer for the guidance, lordship, and mercy of God. This chapter has an essential role in the Islamic prayer (salat).

Surat Al-Kahf

It is one of the best surahs, which is the Sunnah, as Prophet Muhammad PBUH used to recite it on Friday. In number, it is the 18th Surah of the Holy Quran, which is comprised of 110 verses.

However, it is important because whosoever reads and memorizes the first ten verses will be protected from the fitnah of Al-Dajjal. Hadith about the benefits of reciting Surah al-Baqarah.

The Virtues of Surah al-Kahf

The surah summarizes for us the gist of Islam; its main theme is that Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will protect us from all trials. Told through a series of stories that illustrate specific trials, it teaches that Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala) will protect the believer at times of severity.

Surah Al-Mulk

The meaning of the name Mulk is " Kingdom, sovereignty, supreme ".It is a very important surah in The Holy Quran. According to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who so ever recited and memorize this verse, in return, he will be defended until and unless he is sent into paradise.

However, Abdullah Ibn Abbas said that it was the wish of the Prophet that Surah Mulk must be in the heart of every Muslim. It saves man from the torment of the grave.

Surah al Mulk draws attention to the expanse and subtlety of creation as a Sign for the majesty and power of the all-Compassionate. Summarily, the message of the Surah can be divided into four parts:

  • Invitation to witness and reflect upon the Signs of Allah in the expanse and the subtlety of creation: Ayahs 1-4,19
  • Signs for the fragility of life on this planet: Ayahs 5, 16, 17, 20, 21, 28, 30,
  • Signs in the bounties from the Sustainer: 23, 24,
  • The discomfiture of those who reject the Signs and the inner peace of those who accept them: 6-11, 13, 14, 15, 18, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 29.

Surah Al-Kafirun

Most important surahs in the Holy Quran

Al-Kāfirūn (Arabic: الكافرون‎, "The Unbelievers") is the name of the 109th chapter (sūrah) of the Quran. It has six verses as follows:

۝ Say, "O disbelievers,

۝ I do not worship what you worship.

۝ Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.

۝ Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.

۝ Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.

۝ For you is your religion, and for me is my religion.

Surat al Kafiron is one of the most important surahs in the Holy Quran, which is comprised of 6 verses. However, our Holy Prophet (PBUH) read every night before going to bed because it saves Muslims from the shirk.

The Three Quls

last three chapters (Surahs) in the Quran

These three Quls in the Quran comes at the end of the Holy Book. It is stated that whenever our Prophet Muhammad PBUH used to recite these Three Quls when he goes to bed, he blows over hands and rub it to the specific areas. So, nothing will harm him from any mishap if someone aimed over him.

The ‘Three Quls’ are the last three chapters (Surahs) in the Qur’an. They are commonly known as:

“Qul huwa Allāhu Aḥad” (Sūrah Al-Ikhlāṣ)
“Qul A'ūdhu birabbi al-falaq” (Sūrah Al-Falaq)
“Qul A'ūdhu birabbi al-nās” (Sūrah Al-Nās)

What applies to “Ayatul-Kursi” is applicable to the “Three Quls” in the ways and the times we recite them for protection. Thus, we recite each of them once, after each prayer (ṣalāh). We also recite them three times each, before going to bed.

Ayat Al-Kursi

Reciting Benefits of Surah Yaseen, Surah Waqiah, and Surah Mulk

August 12, 2020 2

Reciting Benefits

In the Name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful Imaam Nawawi says, “One should be especially observant in reciting Surah Yaseen (36), Surat al Waqia (56) and Surat al Mulk. (67)”

Reciting Benefits in the light of Quran

Why is Surah Yasin so important?

Yā Sīn (also Yaseen; Arabic: يس‎) is the 36th sūrah of the Quran. It has 83 verses (āyāt). The surah focuses on establishing the Qur'an as a divine source, and it warns of the fate of those who mock God's revelations and are stubborn.

What can we learn from Surah Yaseen?

Surah Yaseen: A Chapter About Faith

The crowd isn't always right. The main story in this Surah is about a city to which three prophets were sent.

We may only find success in the Afterlife. Many modern Self Help programs pitch the idea that you are the captain of your own fate.

Allah's Signs Are All Around Us.

The Benefits of Surah Yaseen (36)

The Prophet (SalAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, ‘Surely everything has a heart, and the heart of the Qur’an is Yasin. I would love that it be in the heart of every person of my people'[Bazzar]. (S. Muhammad Ali Sabuni, Tafsir-al-SabuniVol.2)

The Prophet (SalAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, ‘Whoever recites Yasin once Allah will record the reward of reciting the Qur’an ten times.'[Maqal, Tirmidhi 2812/A & Dhahabi]

It has been reported by Aisha (radiAllahu anha)that the Prophet (SalAllahu alayhi wasalam) said that there is a surah in the Qur’an that intercedes for its reciter and forgive its listener. Know! It is Surah Yasin. It is called ‘Mu’amma’ in the Torah. It was enquired, what is Mu’amma? The Prophet (SalAllahu alayhi wasalam) said, ‘it embraces the person with the goodness of this world and removes the dismay of the Hereafter’[Hashiya of Tafsir Jalalalayn, pg 368].

The Prophet said, ‘Whoever recited Surah Yasin in the night seeking Allah’s pleasure, Allah would forgive him'[Ibn Hibban, Darimi 3283/A, Abu Yala, Tabarani, Baihaqi & Ibn Mardawaih]

Ma`qil ibn Yasar (Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him, his family, companions, and followers) said,” Ya Sin is the heart of the Qur’an. No one reads it intending thereby Allah and the Next Abode except that Allah forgives them. Recite it for your deceased ones.” [Related by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Nasa’i (this wording is his), and Hakim, who deemed it rigorously authenticated (sahih)]

Imam Ghazali explained that this is because soundness of faith rests on acknowledging Resurrection and Judgment, and Surat Ya Sin details this in the most emphatic of ways. Imam Fakhr al-Din al-Razi concurred.

Imam Tibi explained in his commentary on Mishkat al-Masabih that Surat Ya-Sin was called ‘the Heart of the Qur ‘an ‘ because of what it contains overwhelming proofs, decisive signs, subtle spiritual meanings, eloquent admonition, and stern warnings.

What is the meaning of Surah Waqiah?

Al-Waqi'a (Arabic: الواقعة‎; "The Inevitable" or "The Event") is the 56th (chapter) surah Waqiah of the Quran. Muslims believe it was revealed in Mecca (see Meccan surah), specifically around 7 years before the Hegira (622), the migration of Muhammad to Medina. The total number of verses in this surah are 96.

Arabic: الواقعة‎; "The Inevitable" or "The Event"

What is the benefit of Surah Waqiah?

"Surah Waqiah is the Surah of Wealth, so recite it and teach it to your children." So from the above hadith, it is cleared that Surah Waqiah is a blessing for the entire Muslim Ummah. The world we living in today is full of tension, stress, and worry. Most of our troubles are finance-related instability.

The Benefits of Surah al Waqiah (56)

The Prophet said, ‘Whoever recites surah al Waqiah at night would never encounter poverty’ [Ibn Sunni 620]

The Prophet said, ‘Surah al Waqiah is the Surah of Wealth, so recite it and teach it to your children'[Ibn Asakir]

What Surah is Surah Mulk?

Surah al-Mulk (Arabic: الملك‎, "Sovereignty, Kingdom") is the 67th chapter (surah) of the Quran, comprising 30 verses.

Arabic: الملك‎, "Sovereignty, Kingdom"

What are the benefits of Surah Mulk?

"It is the prevention of punishment of the grave". On the Day of Resurrection Surah Mulk will intervene with Allah for the forgiveness of its Reciter. This Hadith has been narrated (in Arabic) in the past tense because, like the past indefinite, its occurrence is definite and not open to inquiry.

The Benefits of Surah al Mulk (67)

The Prophet said, ‘There is a surah in the Qur’an which is only thirty verses. It defended whoevere\recited it, until it puts him into paradise ‘ i.e.Surah al Mulk[Fath al Qadir 5/257, Sahihul Jamiea 1/680, Tabrani in Al-Awsat & Ibn Mardawaith]

The Prophet said, ‘Surah al Mulk is the protector from the torment of the grave ‘[Sahihul Jamiea 1/680, Hakim 2/498 & Nasai]

Jabir (radiAllahu anhu) said it was the custom of the Holy Prophet Sallallahu alaihe wasallam not to go to sleep until he had read Tabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk and Alif Laam Meem Tanzeel. [Ahmad, Tirmidhi, and Darami]

Anas (radiAllahu anhu) reported Rasulullah (sallallahu alaiyhi wasalam) as saying, “There is a Surah which will plead for its reciter\till it causes him to enter paradise (Tabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk).”[Tabrani]”
