What does Mulk mean?

Mulk(n) New Word Suggestion. Roman Hindi word "mulk" means 'region'or 'land' or 'country' usage eg : Nizam-ul-mulk(title for Indian ruler of the former state of Hyderabad as from beginning of the 18th century to 1950) meaning the lord or the ruler or the king of the land.

What chapter is Surah Mulk in the Quran?

Sūrat al-Mulk (Arabic: سورة الملك‎, "Sovereignty, Kingdom") is the 67th chapter (surah) of the Quran, comprising 30 verses. The surah emphasizes that no individual can impose his will on another; he may only guide and set an example (67:26).

When should I read Surah Mulk?

  1. According to authentic hadith. surah Al mulk can be recited after the completion of Maghrib prayer(4th prayer in a day) and can be also recited after Isha prayer.
  2. It is also known as surah al tabarak.
  3. It is recited for ease of sustainance in grave after death.

What is Surah Mulk good for?

It was narrated that Abd Allah ibn Mas'ud said: Whoever reads Tabarakalladhi Biyadihil Mulk [i.e. Surah al-Mulk] every night, Allah will protect him from the torment of the grave. In the Book of Allah it is a surah which, whoever recites it every night has done very well.

Narrated Abu Hurairah:

that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

"Indeed there is a Surah in the Qur'an of thirty Ayat, which intercedes for a man until he is forgiven. It is [Surah] Tabarak Alladhi Biyadihil-Mulk."

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:

"There is a surah in the Qur'an, with thirty verses, which will intercede for its companion (the one who recites it) until he is forgiven: Tabarakal-ladhi bi yadihil mulk (Blessings of Surah Al-Mulk is He in Whose Hand is the Dominion)."

It will intercede for its companion until he is forgiven and some narration also said that it will save its reciter from torment of grave.
